Apex Legends is one of the most popular shooter titles out there and has a large community. The game is developed by Respawn Entertainment, and there are reports that the developer might be working on another game and may soon shift its focus to the new project.
While this may sound like good news, Apex Legends fans do not like this much. They are not happy that the developer wants to work on a new game when the shooter title is experiencing several issues.
Respawn May Be Working On a New Game but Apex Legends Fans Are Not Happy
There have been reports recently that Respawn is working on a new game, which could very well be the next entry in the Titanfall franchise. The reports surfaced after the developer posted a job listing, looking to hire a game design director with “multiplayer FPS experience.”
The studio is also looking for a principal character artist to join the incubation team to work on an unannounced game. It is speculated that the title could be Titanfall 3, and while Titanfall fans are happy about this, Apex fans have said that the developer should first sort out all the issues in the shooter title.

One player reacted to this news and said that the developer needs to focus on one game before they mess things up in a new game. Another player, referring to the Star Wars Mandalorian game being canceled:

User Biast12 stated, “This is like the 3-4 times they have done it and then EA has cancelled it a few month[s] later.” This shows that players are not okay with the developer bailing on Apex Legends with the state that it is in, which sometimes makes the game unplayable for a large number of players.
Apex Legends Has Been Marred With Issue Lately
Apex Legends has had several issues lately, but some have annoyed the fans a little too much. Last month, after the April Fool’s update and new split of the season went live, the game went absolutely bonkers with issues. Players reported that the glitch completely reset their accounts, removed all progress, and removed earned content.
Players also reported that the update affected their statistics, removed paid and earned cosmetics from their accounts, ranked progress, and other account data that was important to level up. The in-game store also experienced some issues, giving players rare cosmetics and items.
That’s not all, as the North American esports final of the game was also affected as several players’ systems were hacked. This led to the event being postponed and players had to stop playing for a while. Fans surely do not want this to keep happening and want the developer to fix things before it takes on a new project.
