Landau served as a producer for three of filmmaker James Cameron‘s most smash hit pieces of all time, including 1997’s Titanic and the first Avatar film and its sequel, The Way of Water. Additionally, he was deeply invested in the remaining Avatar sequels before his sudden death.

That’s not all. Besides working as the executive vice president of feature film production at 20th Century Fox and overseeing projects among the likes of Die Hard 2, the late producer was also greatly involved in quite a few of Cameron’s other projects, including 1994’s True Lies.

As for the awards credited to his name, Landau was awarded his first and only Academy Award for his incredible contribution to Titanic and scored two nominations for his works on both films in the Avatar film series. He also has two Golden Globe wins and one nod to his name for the same.
