The entire schedule of the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), possibly the biggest comic book convention and multi-genre entertainment event, has recently been released on their official site. While fans of every genre, art form, and franchise are excited to see the panels of their favorite TV show, one panel seems to be missing from the schedule.
This panel belongs to Dragon Ball, especially Dragon Ball Daima, which was also announced by the creators of the series a few days ago. Dragon Ball Daima, which is the fifth anime installment in the Dragon Ball franchise, was much awaited by fans for a long time, and they were supposed to reveal new information about the series at SDCC.
However, after the release of their entire schedule, Dragon Ball fans are furious that Daima’s panel has not been mentioned anywhere. Many believe that Toei Animation, the studio that created Dragon Ball, has stopped caring about the Dragon Ball franchise like it used to and is now focusing on its other works.
SDCC Did Not Feature Dragon Ball Daima Panel
Dragon Ball Daima features a unique story that transforms the prominent characters from the series into child-like versions of themselves because of some kind of magic, and Goku and his friends are on a mission to deal with the situation. The narrative of Dragon Ball Daima is considered canon, but the timeline is unknown to fans.
Although a teaser/trailer for the series was released in January 2024, not much information was given about the series. Many fans believed that the San Diego Comic-Con would feature a panel for Dragon Ball Daima, and more details on the series, like the release date, would be revealed in the following panel.
Even the official site of Dragon Ball shared the news that a special booth was coming to SDCC, and fans will not only get to enjoy the rally, play the demos, etc., but also finally get to know the release date of the series, which was hinted to be in the fall of 2024. But the exclusion of Dragon Ball Daima from the schedule has raised some serious questions.
Dragon Ball Fans Are Furious With SDCC
SDCC was going to take place from July 25th, 2024, to July 28th, 2024, and the official schedule of SDCC, which was released recently, has yet to mention Dragon Ball Daima. The popular Dragon Ball fan page @SupaChronicles on X brought this news to light.
It has created a ruckus on the social networking platform as fans are enraged about SDCC not including a Dragon Ball Daima panel.
While some fans are disheartened after hearing the news, others are blaming Toei Animation for not focusing more on the franchise.
It’s because many ppl wanted super but they got daima.Don’t get me wrong I love daima and im excited for it but it sucks that toei doesn’t care about db like they used to.

When some of us were pointing out the lack of marketing/promoting Daima,Some intellectuals from dragon ball fandom said there's plenty time left over and upcoming week will most likely have some trailer or something but look it's just under 3 months and not even KV from officials pic.twitter.com/C96shV5FT3

Dragon Ball Daima was supposed to be a special project as it was the last series that Akira Toriyama was working on. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the series and hopefully, the officials will sort out the confusion and give a correct date soon enough.
