In a move that has sparked excitement among PC gamers and given hope to Xbox fans, Shift Up, the developer behind the hit action-adventure game Stellar Blade, has seemingly confirmed that a PC port is in the works.
The news comes courtesy of an official job listing on the studio’s website, which appears to be hiring a Combat Designer specifically for the PC version of the game.
Stellar Blade: Modding Potential Unleashed
Stellar Blade, which launched as a PlayStation 5 exclusive in April, quickly gained popularity for various reasons, some of which extend beyond its gameplay and story.
The game’s success on Sony’s platform has left many players on other platforms eagerly awaiting their chance to experience the title for themselves.
Naturally, news of the PC port for Shift Up‘s hit title spread like wildfire across social media, with @HazzadorGamin on X being among the first to share the exciting development:

While the thought of Eve being transformed into Carl “CJ” Johnson from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas through mods is certainly amusing, it’s the potential for an Xbox port that has caught the attention of some fans.
Xbox Fans Holding Out Hope
While the “gatekeeping” type of PlayStation fans may be disappointed to see their beloved exclusive potentially branching out to other platforms, it’s hard to deny the excitement and anticipation the news has generated in the wider gaming community.
After all, it’s not just PC gamers who are excited about the news. Xbox fans, who have long been left out in the cold when it comes to Sony-published games like Helldivers 2 and the more recent Stellar Blade, are holding out hope that the latter will eventually make its way to their platform of choice.

It’s worth noting that Microsoft has been relatively open to sharing its exclusive titles with other platforms in recent years. However, Sony, on the other hand, has yet to budge on its stance regarding exclusive titles — with many of its flagship titles remaining firmly locked to PS hardware.
As for Shift Up’s major hit, while a PC port seems all but confirmed at this point, an Xbox release remains a distant dream for the time being.
Unless Shift Up surprises us with another job listing specifically mentioning Microsoft‘s console, fans will have to content themselves with spreading the message of freedom and democracy in Helldivers 2 (or watching others do so) on PlayStation and PC.
