A new update on Charlie Cox’s upcoming Daredevil: Born Again reveals that new composers have been hired to create the show’s soundtrack. Fans would recall the iconic theme song of the Netflix series which earned a lot of praise and support.
After three successful installments in the popular streaming platform, Cox’s highly acclaimed series gets a reboot for Disney+.
Marvel Fans React To New Composers Scoring Daredevil: Born Again
In a post from Film Music Reporter, the outlet shared “The Newton Brothers are currently scoring Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ original series Daredevil: Born Again.” Fans would remember them from having previously scored the animated series X-Men ’97.
The original Daredevil series had John Paesano compose the theme for all three seasons. In response to a Twitter post, he wrote: “Needless to say The Newton Brothers are going to do an amazing job! Great fit for these characters. Big win for Daredevil and so excited for all the fans, I can’t wait to watch!”

Despite the great news, some fans aren’t thrilled to hear that there’s a possibility of getting a new soundtrack for the series. They loved the original score and many are hoping it will still be used in the upcoming show. Check out their reactions below:

While Paesano’s work on the Daredevil theme song might get replaced, fans are assured that the series is in good hands. The Newton Brothers are known for their incredible music works on Doctor Sleep, The Haunting of Hill House, The Fall of the House of Usher, and Five Nights at Freddy’s.
Charlie Cox On The New Direction Of Daredevil: Born Again
Charlie Cox stated in a Fan Expo Boston panel that he’s happy with Marvel Studios stepping in to make some necessary changes to the Daredevil reboot. Fans would remember that a creative overhaul was done as the initial project wasn’t satisfactory. He said via ComicBook:
Marvel had been incredibly open-minded and willing to correct course, and incredibly supportive. Early on, we were trying something that was a bit different, and very quickly they were able to identify that wasn’t maybe working as well as it could’ve done.
The massive change happened in late 2023 and the studio had to let go the original Daredevil: Born Again writers and directors. While some elements from the initial script will be kept, the series will ultimately head in a new direction.
For the first time, Daredevil: Born Again will have a full season with 18 episodes, making it one of the biggest and highly anticipated projects for MCU’s Phase 5.
Daredevil: Born Again is set to arrive in 2025.
