That said, one of the latest reports has given some really interesting updates on the projects that would be tamed after the release of Avengers: The Doomsday and before Avengers: Secret Wars hits the screens. And, according to this news from the insider, fans are in for a big surprise since these projects will reportedly be set in the epic Battleworld saga from the comics.

Marvel Movies Before Secret Wars Will Reportedly be Set in the Battleworld Arc

As per exclusive reports from renowned industry scooper Daniel Richtman, fans are reportedly in for some really grand battle sequences in some of its upcoming projects. This is because some of the upcoming projects from the saga will reportedly be set in the Battleworld arc from the comics.

These projects will notably be set between two of the most anticipated movies from the franchise: Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, as reported by @screentime on X. Since there have been 3 Battleworlds in total in the comics, these projects can be expected to trek along the same storylines.

As the comic book geeks must already be aware, the first and third Battleworlds have been from the Secret Wars crossover and Secret Wars #2 comics respectively. Meanwhile, the second Battleworld arc is set in the six-issue comic book limited series from Marvel Comics, Beyond!

While the first Battleworld is created by the Beyonder himself, the second takes a different approach, showing this Battleworld to be an imitation constructed by the Stranger pretending to be the Beyonder. Then there was the third one that Doctor Doom created by stealing the power of the Beyonders.

All of this being said, these projects between Robert Downey Jr.‘s Doomsday and Secret Wars will ostensibly be set within these arcs, assuming that the insider reports are indeed true. But which will these projects be, since they’re not prequels but set between two movies having release dates within a year?

Well, for one, one of them could be Doctor Strange 3. Here’s our take: Doomsday could conclude with a catastrophic event that shatters the multiverse and creates the Battleworld, allowing DS3 to take place on the Battleworld with Benedict Cumberbatch‘s Strange navigating through multiple realities while trying to bring balance back to the multiverse.

This would be followed by Secret Wars, which would include the Avengers and other heroes arriving on the Battleworld as well to continue and conclude this story by eventually restoring the multiverse. Looking at it from this perspective, these three films could be perfectly set together.

Additionally, since Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ended with Strange following Charlize Theron‘s Clea into navigating through the risk of a Mutliversal Incursion, this theory, as mentioned earlier, seems more plausible. And, if it happens, it will only pique all the entertainment and excitement, as is already happening to fans after hearing these Battleworld reports.

While Secret Wars already had fans raving in excitement because of all the sheer blissful experience it would bring along for fans with all its twists and turns from the comics, these reports of the Battleworld arc being set between Doomsday and Secret Wars have further piqued their interest.

If anything, they are more sat than ever before for all these upcoming projects from the MCU, if these insider reports are indeed true. Taking to X, here’s how these fans are expressing their excitement over this part of the comics seemingly making its way to the screens soon:

Ostensibly enough, all of these fan reactions are speaking for themselves just how interesting these forth-coming events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe could be, based on all these reports. That said, perhaps fans could also find out the Deadpool x Thor secret hinted in Deadpool & Wolverine? Who knows?

It’s all supposed to be peak entertainment, so we might as well hope for the best!

Deadpool & Wolverine is out in theatres now while Avengers: Doomsday is set for a release date of May 1, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars will hit the screens on May 7, 2027.
