Secret Wars (2015) saw Doctor Doom reorganise the surviving bits of the Multiverse into Battleworld. Here, the character ruled over his subjects as God Emperor Doom, with Doctor Strange as his chief enforcer. Ever since the title of the sixth Avengers film was released, fans have been speculating whose job is it going to be to construct Battleworld.
The nature of Battleworld is such that it is a patchwork of pieces of the multiverse. This means that there could be multiple versions of the same character inhabiting the same universe. Fans have speculated about the character who could take up this mantle in the MCU, and the answer is simple: It is Loki.
Loki could create Battleworld to save the Multiverse in Avengers 5
Loki has found himself at the heart of the multiverse, holding all the timelines together. Twisting the multiverse into a tree, the character sits in his heart as of the last episode of Loki Season 2. This puts the character in a similar position to that of Doctor Doom in Secret Invasion.
Loki has endeavoured to preserve the multiverse in stark contrast with He Who Remains. Unlike the Kang Variant, who was on a mission to maintain the sacred timeline, Loki has decided to preserve the multiverse and let each branch grow. This attitude of the character towards preserving alternate realities could manifest itself as a bid to create Battleworld in the face of multiversal destruction.
Not only would this be a great way to reintroduce the character in active continuity, but would also give Loki a chance at recognition. However, the problem with this theory is such: that Doctor Doom’s Battleworld failed, making him the chief antagonist of the arc. Given the story Loki has been through, his organising the Marvel Multiverse into Battleworld might cause some shifts in the narrative that would be difficult to solve However, there is a solution to this.

Loki could be the reason the X-Men show up in the MCU after Avengers 6
While Loki doesn’t need to create Battleworld, the character can very much be the reason the X-Men begin to co-exist with the Avengers and the Fantastic Four on the same Earth. While the architect of Battleworld could be a Kang variant, the one who sets the MCU back in place, at great personal cost, could be the Loki that sits in the heart of the multiverse.
Loki could merge the timelines of the Fox X-Men and the mainline MCU to create a world with history from both universes. If the Fantastic Four are involved in the already existing films, their history could be woven into the story. Loki could be the key to uniting the Marvel properties under and outside Disney (since we know that the Sacred Timeline extended to the Sony Spider-Verse as well.)Essentially, the character could also unite Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man with the myriad of villains Sony is putting out in its universe as well.
