The first Red Dead Redemption game was a work of art and is highly revered by the gaming community. The fans were blown away by what the game developers were able to achieve at the time and were pleased to see it get the remaster treatment it deserved for modern gaming consoles.

Fans can now pick up the classic Western game for the PlayStation 4 which is playable on the PlayStation 5 for a better experience, and the Nintendo Switch for an on-the-go experience. PC players are left out of this experience; however, leaks suggest that those days are numbered.

The gaming community was not prepared for what Rockstar Games had in store. The gaming company was mostly known for the Grand Theft Auto franchise and decided to take a trip down memory lane and highlight the life of American outlaws. The game developers made history after reusing a playable character in Red Dead Redemption and its prequel.

No one could have anticipated how this ambitious Western project impacted the gaming industry and how it influenced other game developers with their open-world design. Fans at the time were convinced that game development had peaked, little did they know that developers had only scratched the surface back then.

A recent listing from the PlayStation Store hints that the highly-anticipated Red Dead Redemption PC port is no longer a fantasy. PC players are on the cusp of greatness if this recent rumor is proven true and can fully experience the iconic franchise on their powerful gaming rigs.

At one point, the game developers offered the gaming community a great deal to play the original game through GTA+. It is a much more convenient option for players to experience the continuation of John Marston’s story on both PlayStation and Xbox platforms, and it is no secret that Rockstar Games does not give the PC platform the same level of importance as the console landscape.

The older games have a special place in the hearts of the gaming community, and some players applaud the efforts of other game developers to preserve classic titles. Players are seeing several ports and remasters for the current generation and not all of these projects are as successful as they had hoped.

Regardless, a PC port has been a long time coming and it is high time for the developers to exert more effort to appeal to the PC platform. The remastered ports on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 have all had a stellar performance and there is no telling how the game will look on a modest PC setup.

The franchise may not be as appealing as the Grand Theft Auto series, but it is worth trying, especially on the best platform that offers a great experience. Countless players could not play this masterpiece because it was unavailable at the time, now is the perfect opportunity to remedy that mistake.

There is no telling when or how Rockstar Games will address this rumored PC port. The fans remain vigilant for any news dropping in the coming days.

The gaming community has been waiting for this port since a remaster was announced and it could be the best version yet. Perhaps the developers did not want to repeat previous mistakes.

John Marston was a great protagonist and fans are still fond of him. Fans gained another option to spend time with the character.
