Rockstar Games was on a roll of success with their GTA franchise and has twice struck the same lightning of success through Red Dead Redemption. It is the perfect playground for those who are interested in gunslingers and horses. The story is set in the year 1911, around the time of the decline of the American frontier, and players take on the role of former outlaw John Marston.
The franchise has a massive following despite only having two entries in their series, but the first game was given the remaster treatment and is now playable on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and even the Nintendo Switch while also being supported on Xbox systems through backward compatibility.
Despite not having the same level of focus compared to other Rockstar properties, it seems the company has plans to make the game even more accessible.
Red Dead Redemption Is Playable Through GTA+
Rockstar Games launched their membership program for members of their community to receive benefits primarily for GTA Online, but recent information has shown that the beloved Western title is now playable through their service.
BREAKING: Red Dead Redemption is seemingly playable through GTA+ on Xbox and PlayStation!

This is a good deal for players who have yet to be introduced to this franchise, and even better for returning players with all the added improvements and enhancements, like the 4K 60 FPS option for the PlayStation 5.
So I can pay $5 instead of $50 to platinum RDR🤔, wonder if this means more games are coming. Especially with the news of ps teaming up with that emulation team maybe the warriors & bully will go there, even better would be GTA4 pic.twitter.com/pdm5Z8M1B4

This could also be an indication that Rockstar is planning to add more of their titles, both old and new, to increase the volume of subscribers. GTA 4 is the fan favorite and probably the best GTA installment and with Rockstar’s initiative to preserve legacy titles by remastering and porting to current-gen systems, there is a strong likelihood the game will receive the same treatment.
At this point, it is all speculation, but Rockstar has one of the most diverse selections of games and they can boost the memberships of their service by adding more refined versions of older games as a benefit. There is also a possibility these titles will be added to other premium services like PS+ if Rockstar can tilt the deal in their favor.
Rockstar Games Is Giving Red Dead Redemption The Attention It Deserves
Rockstar’s GTA+ is full of potential; their games are renowned for their rich and organic world for players to ogle and spend countless hours taking in-game photos, beautiful landscapes, and compelling stories to keep them hooked and shed a few tears before, during, and after the credits.
The talent this company possesses is unbelievably high, especially with all eyes set on GTA 6, the team will most likely deliver the best-looking video game of all time.
Red Dead Redemption is a welcome surprise from the people who made GTA, this compelling narrative is enough reason to try it with a steal of a price once subscribed to GTA+. Rockstar Games has a plan to protect its legacy games, while also developing newer titles.
