GTA 6 is probably the most highly anticipated game of all time, the amount of hype it generated is unparalleled. The problem with creating something great is that the masses will expect the same level of quality but dialed up to 11 for the succeeding projects, GTA 5 was an amazing game and to this day is still played by millions. Fans have high hopes for the sequel’s graphic quality but experts suggest that it is unlikely even on a much more powerful console.
Fans need to better gauge their expectations, and not just for the sake of game developers but for themselves. Developers can only do so much and the technology can’t keep up with what fans have in mind. The Grand Theft Auto franchise has always been used as the pin for the technical leaps and achievements they made in each title, which makes it a no-brainer for fans to expect more for their latest title.
GTA 6 Frame Rate Could Be A Deal Breaker For Some People
Digital Foundry went ahead and discussed the potential of GTA 6 running only at a locked 30 FPS due to an issue related to the CPU.
I'd be absolute devastated if I have to play GTA 6 in 30FPS. I really hope we can leave that nightmare behind. It's so clucky and unresponsive. Drop the resolution to 1080p for all I care.. Frames are king. https://t.co/QAwuvuO6Ng

This can upset most people who prioritize frames over higher resolution and for good reason. Despite recent leaks of rumored specs for a Pro model of the PlayStation 5, it may not reach fan expectations of having a high-quality resolution running at an unlocked frame rate.
There is no doubt that Rockstar is pushing their engine to its absolute limit, and based on the trailer, the world is full of traffic, activities, and wildlife. Players will find little to complain about once the game is in their hands which is still a good amount of time, perhaps by then Rockstar has found a way to work around the frame rate issue without compromising the resolution.
Frame Rates vs Resolution: GTA 6 Can Benefit From Both
Throughout the years of gaming, people began to see the benefits of having higher frames. It can bring about a smoother gaming experience which is an advantage for intense combat or competitive games. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth had two options and each prioritizes either graphics or resolution, not everyone can get the best of both worlds, but given Rockstar’s history of innovating and improving, perhaps they can still meet fan expectations before launch.
The game is still a few months away, which means a whole lot more developments could happen between now and the future. Rockstar has ordered all employees to work on-site much to their dismay, for five days a week which could also mean that there is a chance that they will crunch before launch just to ensure the highest level of confidentiality and quality assurance.
Video game development is time-consuming and stressful, the developers of Rockstar are fueled with inspiration from the passion of fans and want to do right by them, unfortunately, that can’t always be the case for several reasons. Regardless, GTA 6 will look better than what was shared in leaks or previews whatever the frame rate limit will be.
