Billie Eilish is on top of the world currently as her hit song What Was I Made For? from Barbie has been recognized by many prestigious award ceremonies. The song has been nominated for Best Original Song at the Oscars. Eilish recently made an appearance on a pre-Oscars Luncheon interview with popular comedian Amelia Dimoldenberg where she revealed a surprising anecdote.
Eilish revealed that she once had a dream about Batman actor Christian Bale some years ago at a sunlit little cafe. For some unexplained reason, the dream immediately made her realize that she should put an end to a relationship she was having at the time. She said, (via YouTube)
“I got to be real. A couple years ago I had a dream about Christian Bale and it was at a little cafe in the sunlight, and it made me realize that I had to break up with my boyfriend. No, like genuinely. I woke up [cue her pretending to open her eyes] and I came to my senses. It’s over.”
Eilish’s brother Finneas and Dimoldenberg can be seen being shocked and bursting into laughter after hearing the hilarious yet surprising anecdote. It seems Eilish has Bale to thank for coming to her senses and doing the right thing.

Billie Eilish‘s What Was I Made For? was one of the standout tracks from Margot Robbie’s Barbie. The Oscar-nominated song has been an awards darling and is also nominated for the upcoming Oscars. Eilish claims that she was initially unsure whether she would do justice to the song as she and her brother were in a very uninspired phase during the time.
In an interview with Apple Music, However, the singer claims that once she started writing the first half of the song, they realized they still had the zeal and enthusiasm to produce great material. She is thankful for the song for making her come out of a bad phase musically. She said,
“Honestly, we were in a period of time where we were both… like through this last winter, we’ve both been incredibly uninspired. And we’ve still been working and trying to make stuff. And honestly, that song was the first thing we’d written in a minute. Even though we were coming up with ideas and coming up with this and that, I remember after we wrote that first half, I go, ‘I think we still got it.’”
