Soon after the premier event, the La La Land actress appeared on a star podcast to unravel about a show that she strives to attend someday. More so, Stone admitted to having applied for it every year but hasn’t made it till now. If she did, Stone would mark it as a great achievement of her career. However, the actress refrains from using her celebrity status to enter the show.

The 35-year-old star has an overwhelmingly long list of achievements, with two recent Golden Globe additions in Best Film Actress in a comedy/musical and Best Picture, for acting and producing Poor Things. Days after her triumph, Emma Stone disclosed her dream of being a contestant on the 1964 TV game show Jeopardy! Speaking on Variety’s Awards Circuit podcast on Thursday, Stone said,

“You can only take it once a year with your email address. So every June I take the quiz and they don’t tell you how you did… guess what, I haven’t gotten on the show. I watch it every single night and I mark down how many answers I get right.”

Furthermore, the Cruella star expressed her disinterest in attending Celebrity Jeopardy! and claimed she wanted to earn her spot in the show. Much effort goes behind her application for Jeopardy! as Stone revealed that marking down answers every night is a regular thing for the star. She added,

“I watch it every single night, and I mark down how many answers I get right. I swear, I could go on Jeopardy!”

Stone’s recent film Poor Things garnered much acclaim from critics and fans. However, the s*x scenes in the plotline seemed disturbing to some viewers. Yet, Stone defended the scenes from her character Bella Baxter’s standpoint, as being necessary for her character growth.

Released in early December 2023, Poor Things spins around a young woman, Emma Stone’s Bella Baxter, who was resurrected by an unorthodox scientist, Willem Dafoe’s Godwin Baxter. Meanwhile, she runs away with a sleazy lawyer, Mark Ruffalo’s Duncan Wedderburn, discovering the mystery of s*x. Hence, the multiple scenes involving the plot irked some critics and viewers.

Nevertheless, in Stone’s point of view, the scenes were crucial for narrating Bella Baxter’s story precisely. Starring and also co-producing the film, fans wondered how Stone portrayed the scenes. Therefore, talking to GamesRadar+, Stone shared,

“They were very comfortable. It was a really small room every time, it was very few people, and we had an amazing intimacy coordinator, Elle McAlpine. In some ways, those scenes were kind of easier than the other ones because they were so choreographed and so straightforward.”
