Hollywood star Daniel Radcliffe made $1 million from his first Hollywood project, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. With the popularity and success of the film, his paycheck also received a hike, and he reportedly made more than $95 million from starring in the franchise.

However, the actor finds it “ridiculous,” saying, “If somebody asked me, ‘Did you think you deserve that money?’ No, of course, I didn’t.” While he went on to star in several blockbusters after Harry Potter, the actor surprised everyone as he revealed his favorite role.

The Harry Potter star revealed that his role as a corpse in the 2016 film Swiss Army Man is his favorite role. Starring Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe, the movie follows Hank, who befriends a dead body, Manny [Radcliffe], after being stranded on an island.

He shared that portraying the character in the movie “was an incredibly fun thing.” He also stated how the movie features deep compassion and love for humanity along with human weirdness. “It’s so their vision and so unapologetically their vision,” he said, talking about the film directors Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan.

Radcliffe stars as a dead body, Manny, in the movie, who is found by a suicidal man, Hank, deserted on an island. Hank not only befriends him, but he also tries to utilize his abilities to escape from the island. The role is considered one of the best performances of Radcliffe’s career.

The actor has also described the movie as “beautiful and epic” while saying that its concept was one of the things that grew his interest in the film.
