DC Comics anti-hero CatMan similarity with Kraven The Hunter

The Catman was introduced in the mid-1960s. However, in later years he made very rare appearances in Batman comics. However, as per Green Arrow comics, he was shown a beaten-down villain, clinging to his good old past days. He was shown as overweight and pathetic.

His condition was revamped by writer Gail Simone, where Thomas Reese Blake picks himself up from his tattered condition and restores his physical fitness. He gains a new sense of purpose while living with the lions of Africa. In later DC comics, he is shown as an attractive and strong anti-hero who later leads the Secret Six team.

What baffles the fans is that a similar storyline was shown in Kraven The Hunter, where the protagonist gets the powers of a lion. He also had a tormented childhood with a merciless father, similar to Catman.
