When watching these brand new TV shows, there are many scenarios that stick out amongst viewers, especially for gamers as they relive some of their favourite memories and create new ones as they are able to share some of their favourite stories with family members who aren’t fans of gaming but have enjoyed seeing these shows on their TV screens.

Throughout the years, both The Last Of Us and Twisted Metal have had a major following in regard to their games, and it isn’t an exaggeration to say that most of their fans are very serious when it comes to these titles, so it was a rather stressful situation to see them being developed for TV. That being said, most gamers have been relatively positive in response to these adaptations, especially in regards to The Last of Us as it followed the story of the first game, which the first season nearly perfectly mimics, bar a few changes which can be overlooked, were as Twisted Metal is a brand new experience and change of pace from its source material.

Thankfully the trend of having a faithful adaptation has continued with Twisted Metal to a certain degree as the story is brand new, but the world that it is set in is very similar to fans of the franchise, but it has changed a fair few aspects like character backgrounds.

Unfortunately even though the original game was a car-to-car demolition derby type game for obvious reasons the TV show has had to change this so that there is less car action and more foot exploration in regards to the main cast, but that being said some of the action scenes in relation to the car battles is rather impressive, where-as some of the car action relies on some CGI and takes away the immersion, but this hasn’t affected how fans feel about the show.

The best way we can keep these unique adaptations going is by giving them the fantastic feedback they deserve at this current time, so far many fans of both gaming franchises have been highly positive in their reviews, as many reviewers have stated that even though the show veers off from the source material it is still a rather impressive adaptation which blends actions and humour to make a rather good comedy in regard to Twisted Metal.

Whilst reviewers for The Last Of Us praise how it sticks to the source material and keeps the tone throughout as it throws in terrible puns, great action sequences and progresses the story along in each episode without having to use a lot of filler to keep it interesting. Currently, the second season of The Last of Us is looking towards following the game franchise by creating a faithful adaptation of The Last Of Us Part 2, which many fans are looking forward to. Still, many fans are somewhat worried as the second game in the franchise wasn’t as popular and had a lot of controversy involved.
