Alan Wake 2 fans are currently enjoying this survival horror game to the fullest. This game has evolved in a big way ever since it was launched in 2023. Besides that, fans also have much to look forward to; they are eagerly waiting for this game’s previously announced photo mode. Fans were quick to notice Alan Wake 2’s incredible visuals and that well-written story. It was a surprising thing that Alan Wake 2 stood as one of those games with a parallel narrative that actually worked. Playing as two characters never broke immersion, and both characters felt equally engaged and controlled.

And now, months after the announcement of the DLC, fans have finally gotten their first update. Main actor and writer Sam Lake has given the fans of the game a hint at what is up with this upcoming DLC. He posted a tweet with his picture in a motion capture suit. And his caption was pretty straightforward.

Now, people all over the internet have been pretty hyped by this update. This post simply suggests that the motion capture work on the DLC might have been completed. This brings the upcoming DLC one step closer to launch. There’s no hint on when this launch will be, though.

The strange thing is that people have found something to decipher in this straightforward message too. Fans of Alan Wake are all over with their predictions for what’s about to happen in this game.

For those unaware, Remedy Entertainment confirmed that Alan Wake 2 would receive two expansions after its launch. One of them would be called Night Springs, and it would launch in late spring 2024.

On the other hand, the second expansion would be called The Lakehouse; this DLC does not have a release window as of yet. No other detail has been given regarding these expansions by the developer.

But one thing is for sure: fans are going to be getting deeper into the mind of Alan Wake as his story progresses. And that’s where all the fun is anyway.

There’s one thing that has everyone puzzled: whether these DLCs would include Jesse Faden from Control. As fans might remember, Alan Wake was featured in a DLC for Control called AWE. This effectively expanded both of these universes and combined them.
