Scarlett Johansson is an incredible actress and anyone would think that she would want to explore more in terms of themes and genres than join another franchise right after MCU. After exiting the Marvel-verse, while her co-stars have gone on to work in independent movies and features, the actress has said yes to the upcoming Jurassic World reboot.
After theĀ Jurassic World movies ended, Universal Pictures has been busy revamping the dinosaur franchise. And starring in the lead along with herĀ Asteroid City co-star, Rupert Friend is Johansson, who will be taking over from Bryce Dallas-Howard and Marvel star Chris Pratt to lead the franchise next (via THR).

As per the popular scooper @DanielRPK, there were a lot of big names and Hollywood A-listers who were offered the movie, yet they all passed on. While it is grand that the former Marvel star would be joining such a revered franchise, her decision seems concerning since the Jurassic World/ ParkĀ franchise is also one that fans don’t want back.

Ever since Scarlett Johansson exited the MCU, fans have been eagerly awaiting her next move. While the actress joining theĀ Transformers franchise along with Chris Hemsworth was a move much appreciated by fans, her joining theĀ Jurassic World franchise spells a possible doom for her career.
While being part of a franchise as huge is considered a welcoming and successful move by some, being part of a franchise that no one really wants to see anymore is a gamble.
