Well, Spider-Man 3 may have disappointed us with no new trailer at CCXP Worlds, but it is now making up for that will all its major news updates. Sony’s Untitled Spider-Man: Far From Home sequel is turning into the biggest movie of 2021 just based on its cast. After The Hollywood Reporter confirmed Alfred Molina’s return in Spider-Man 3, Collider reports that both Andrew Garfield and Kirsten Dunst are also going to reprise their former Spider-Man franchise roles.

So, Garfield’s Peter Parker will be stepping into the MCU from The Amazing Spider-Man Universe, and Dunst’s Mary Jane Watson will continue her appearance from Sam Raimi’s original Spider-Man trilogy. Collider’s report further suggests that along with the two actors, Tobey Maguire is in talks, and Emma Stone is also expected to return. But their deals aren’t signed up just yet. Well, if Dunst is returning, then we’re pretty sure that Maguire will be back as well. A while back, we reported about Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s return in Spider-Man 3. Now, it has been confirmed.

Things seem to have gotten a bit crowded in Spider-Man 3. Along with the regular cast including Tom Holland, Jacob Batalon, Zendaya, Jon Favreau, Tony Revolori and Marisa Tomei, all these new names are joining in as well. It will be interesting to see how director Jon Watts is going to insert these Multiverse characters into the mix.

Since a lot seems to be happening with Peter Parker and his whole identity crisis, there’s a chance that the incoming Multiverse couples might only have cameos setting up the live action Spider-Verse event for Spider-Man 4. As for Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina, they could certainly have bigger roles in Spider-Man 3 itself. Their characters are not supposed to continue from where they left off in their previous outings. So, they could very well be the villains of MCU’s Spider-Man 3, further setting up the Sinister Six for the future Spider-Verse movie.

It will be interesting to see the kind of role that Doctor Strange is going to play in all this Spider-Verse Madness! Spider-Man 3 is set to arrive on December 17, 2021, and it will end 2021 with a bang!
