Scott was recently seen in the romantic fantasy film All of Us Strangers along with Paul Mescal. The film earned him a Golden Globe nomination, which he lost to Cillian Murphy. Andrew Scott: Yes! I know Barry, yeah!

Colin Paterson: OK, your reaction when you first saw the naked dance scene at the end of Saltburn?

Andrew Scott: It’s great, it’s great. I won’t spoil it for anybody

Colin Paterson: There was a lot of talk about prosthetics. How well do you know him?

Interviewer Colin Paterson was reportedly pestering Andrew Scott about a scene in the Emerald Fennell directorial and fellow BAFTA nominee Saltburn. The film made waves due to its infamous  ‘s*x with a grave’ scene. In the scene, Barry Keoghan’s character Oliver kisses and then proceeds to have intercourse with the freshly dug grave of his friend Felix, who was played by Jacob Elordi.

According to EW, the viral scene was improvised by Keoghan and director Emerald Fennell. She said,

“I spoke to Barry in the morning, and I just said, ‘I don’t know, Barry. I think that he would…unzip.’ And Barry just said, ‘Yup.’…People said, ‘Oh, we know what’s going to happen. Why do we have to watch it?’ And I said, ‘Watching it is the point! Not cutting away is the point. You have to sit in your discomfort — you can only understand it if you sit with it.’”

While Colin Paterson’s interview was bringing up the sensational nature of the scene, since it was competing against All of Us Strangers, many netizens felt that the interviewer took it too far and Andrew Scott had naturally reacted to the uncomfortable line of questioning.

The host Colin Paterson is yet to respond to the criticism and the incident. Andrew Scott and Barry Keoghan had to go home disappointed again as All of Us Strangers was beaten by Oppenheimer at the BAFTAs.
