“It’s quite a surreal story, and it explores a lot of things. Grief, love, loss, loneliness. Andrew Haigh, the director, shot a film in his family home that he grew up in. I think a lot of time there’s a myth that you have to go away from yourself in order to authentically play somebody else. But sometimes, the more I act, the more I think it’s actually just bringing as much of yourself to a project as possible.”

Scott believes in bringing one’s genuine self to a project, acknowledging his contribution of thorny and vulnerable feelings to the role.

“And so I do definitely feel like I bought my own thorny feelings or uncomfortable feelings or vulnerable feelings to the role.”

As the narrative unfolds, Scott seamlessly integrates his own struggles into the character, creating a compelling and authentic portrayal.

In All of Us Strangers, the actor’s stormy past becomes an integral part of the cinematic journey. His performance is so outstanding that he shares the screen with Paul Mescal in the Oscar contender.

In All of Us Strangers, Scott is rocking the screen with an Oscar-worthy performance that hits you right in the feels. His acting isn’t just good; it lifts the whole movie to a whole new level.

Scott, known for seeing deceased individuals in the movie, might just spot an Oscar nod coming his way for his emotional role as a gay screenwriter.

Based on Taichi Yamada’s novel, the film follows Scott’s character, who gets pulled back to his childhood home after a weird encounter with his neighbor Harry (played by Paul Mescal). Now, here’s the twist: it seems like his supposedly dead parents, played by Claire Foy and Jamie Bell, are alive and kicking, not aging a bit in 30 years.

Meanwhile, All of Us Strangers is killing it with a 94% Rotten Tomatoes score, especially for tackling a tough topic like loss.
