Anya Chalotra Was "Shaking" While Filming Henry Cavill's Final The Witcher Season 3

The third season of The Witcher is set to bring significant changes for the show’s characters, with Freya Allan teasing “massive changes” for her character, Ciri. In an interview with The Witcher cast Allan said that Ciri will be taking on a bigger role than ever before in the upcoming season. However, while talking about it all, her co-actor Anya Chalotra revealed her emotional reaction while shooting the final episode of the third season.

In a conversation with The Digital Fix, Chalotra reflected on her own journey as well as the journey of her character while shooting The Witcher 3.

Anya Chalotra revealed she was incredibly nervous 

The Witcher Season 3 marks the last season where fans will see Henry Cavill in the lead role of Geralt of Livia. Soon after, Liam Hemsworth is set to replace Cavill in the upcoming seasonn4 of the show. Hence, there’s no doubt that the shooting phase for the final episode must be overwhelming to the stars of the show.

When the interviewer questioned Freya Allan, Anya Chalotra, and Joey Batey about their ‘incredibly emotional experience,’ during the TUDUM Awards, Batey replied, “It was a wild experience.” However, revealing how it all affected her, Chalotra shared that she was terribly nervous when the fans at TUDUM Awards gave The Witcher cast, including Henry Cavill, the loudest cheer. She said, “It was nerves, I was terribly nervous. I think I was shaking because of that.”

On the other hand, Allan said that the stars were laughing because she thought that even though they received the loudest cheer, they were just “going to be the weirdos” among other artists who were incredibly confident.

Freya Allan divulged some details on the new and improved Ciri

Freya Allan, who plays Ciri in the fantasy show talked about how her character will evolve in the coming time.

“I certainly feel like she’s going through so many massive shifts,” she said. “We’ve seen her grow so much, and I feel lucky to get to show the entirety of that. I get to play that out. I think she has some massive changes which shift her as a person, and Ciri will be experiencing things she’s never experienced.”

Allan’s comments are in line with what the show’s producer Tomek Gop has said about the upcoming season. In a prior conversation, Gop said that season 3 will really be becoming Ciri’s story. In this season, Ciri will be seen in a new dynamic with Chalotra’s character Yennefer.
