Even Marvel Studios faced a massive financial loss this year as the latest MCU movie, The Marvels, grossed $205 million at the global box office on a gross production budget of $274 million, becoming the lowest-grossing film in the MCU. Just like Aquaman, this film’s prequel, Captain Marvel (2019) grossed over $1 billion worldwide, but The Marvels was a big disappointment for the fans.
