It has only been a month since the release of Helldivers 2, and gamers are already beginning to notice a change in the universe as they believe that the terminids are already beginning to evolve after a few events have taken place within the game.

Recently, players have begun to notice that the recent event began within Helldivers 2, which tasks players with activating what is known as a TCS (Terminid Control System), which, once activated, would release a termicide gas that is supposed to rid these planets of the terminids permanently. Sadly, this may prove to be false.

Players think the terminids in Helldivers 2 are evolving due to the TCS, but some suggest these are treasonous thoughts

Terminids could be evolving, and that could be the worst thing for Helldivers 2.

Since the beginning of Helldivers 2, players have been discovering all sorts of interesting facts within the game that point to the terminids and automatons progressing further than we could have ever anticipated, whether that be the automatons invading Tien Kwan to stop our development of mechs or the terminids evolving into deadlier creatures of war.

At the moment, there are two facts that are majorly pointing towards the evolution of the terminids, but many Helldivers are arguing that this is just propaganda from traitors who are making excuses for the lack of effort and results during these recent events.

The first fact is in relation to the hunter enemy type, which is a rather annoying enemy that is able to jump long distances, use tendrils to harm and stun players, and swarm players on masse, but the major detail is the fact that these creatures have small wings, which help to provide a boost to their jump. What makes this so interesting is the fact that another enemy type known as the stalker also has a set of wings, which are bigger and resemble those of the hunter.

The second fact is a bit more of a rumor than it is confirmed, as recently, players have begun to notice that in certain locations, terminids have begun to fly around the map like birds. These enemies have been dubbed shriekers and haven’t been officially mentioned within the game as a production from the TCS event.

If these rumors are to be believed, we are creating new threats that could wipe us out

If terminids can evolve, what could happen next in the world of Helldivers 2?

If these rumors are true, then we are inadvertently creating our own demise as the termini are evolving to counteract our actions in an attempt to survive. If this continues, we could be seeing a whole new set of termini that could eventually become stronger than anything we have ever seen before.

All it takes is one evolutionary step in the wrong direction, and we could have invisible chargers, bile titans that can fly, and maybe even armoured spewers. Luckily, this is only a worst-case scenario, and it doesn’t seem likely that these situations will ever come to pass, but if they did, we would likely be doomed.

At the moment, we do not know what state the game will be in in a couple of months, but for now, we can only assume that the state of the universe will only get worse as time goes on.
