That being said, Dakota Johnson’s mother Melanie Griffith had an amusing reaction to finding out that her daughter smoked cigarettes. This is largely because of the fact that Melanie Griffith is a major smoker as well.

While speaking during a past interview, Dakota Johnson talked about the time her mother Melanie Griffith found out she smoked cigarettes. The incident took place when Dakota Johnson was just 15 years old.

”My mom, when I was like 15, I started smoking cigarettes. And I came out and she had this balcony on my bedroom and she came out and she was like, ‘Are you smoking?’ And I was like, No. And she was like, let me get you an ashtray at least, because she smokes all the time.”

Dakota Johnson noted how her mother had an exaggerated reaction to finding out her daughter smoked and would then offer to give her an ashtray at the very least.

Despite Madame Web being criticized as one of the worst ever made, Dakota Johnson expressed her willingness to return for a sequel. In an interview with Digital Spy, Johnson mentioned that there is much more to explore.

There is so much I would like to look at. If they want me to come back then I definitely will. I have no idea what’s in storeThis is my first kind of introduction to Marvel, so I feel I would choose whichever superheroes have more physical strengths than Madame Web.”

She then continued,

“I feel she [Madame Web] could handle all the intellectual stuff, and then I just need people who are really strong or like shoot lasers or fireballs out of their fingertips or something.”

In her role as Madame Web in the movie, Dakota Johnson shared her experience in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, describing shooting certain scenes as “absolutely psychotic.” This was her first time working on a film where blue screens and simulated explosions were used, creating a unique and challenging filming environment. Johnson expressed uncertainty about the outcome, stating, “I hope that I did an OK job.

“I’ve never really done a movie where you are on a blue screen, and there’s fake explosions going off, and someone’s going, ‘Explosion!’ and you act like there’s an explosion. That to me was absolutely psychotic. I was like, I don’t know if this is going to be good at all! I hope that I did an OK job.”

Despite effective marketing and high anticipation from millions of fans, Madame Web turned out to be a disappointment. We will have to wait and see whether Sony will even decide to make a sequel in the first place after the abysmal reception. After all, it seems highly unlikely, at this point in time.
