However, Gosling seemed to be pretty bummed about the fact that he had to share the stage with Pitt. The two cheered up the room with their light-hearted argument making it one of the most memorable moments from the 2016’s Golden Globe Awards. Their film, The Big Short, received three nominations but unfortunately, it didn’t bring in any awards at the event.

Hollywood stars Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt left everyone in awe after they hit the stage together during the 2016 Golden Globe Awards. It was surprising for everyone, even for Gosling as he complained about it,

Brad Pitt: Are you upset with me? You all right? You seem upset.

Ryan Gosling: Honestly, I was told I was presenting alone, so… It’s fine. Obviously, I’ve been recast in some kind of Joe Biden, Andy Richter, Robin-type role… it’s fine, I’m here for the movie.

Pitt: No, I’m here to support you.

Gosling: Oh, that’s nice. You take the high road, I look petty. Classic, classic Brad.

Gosling was then disappointed when he found out that they were actually on the stage to talk about their movie, The Big Short, stating, “This is a disaster. Is this like a Montessori-type thing, everyone gets a trophy, and no one’s feelings are hurt?” With Gosling wrapping up his sarcastic comments, the actor talked about their movie.

The stars actually hit the stage to talk about their 2015, The Big Short, which earned three nominations at the event. Gosling continued,

“The Big Short is a story of a group of outsiders who saw what everyone else refused to, that the American economy was built on toxic and fraudulent loans. It stars Christian Bale, Steve Carell, myself, Melissa Leo, you know, some other people.”

Gosling cheekily left out Pitt, cheering up the entire room with his light-hearted humor. The Big Short managed to perform fairly well at the box office, bringing in $133 million on a production budget of $50 million. The star-studded cast of the movie showcased their remarkable acting skills, making it one of the best movies produced in the past decade.
