As the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 draws closer with it’s release date set to the 20th October, fans are eagerly awaiting any form of news that is release regarding our two favourite wall crawlers and their explorations within New York City. Now gamers have been made aware that they will be able to ride the attractions at Coney Island during their travels in New York City.
What Will This Mean To The Players Of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2?
This may not seem like a major feature to some gamers as this may not even be a feature that many will use. However, for those who have never had the pleasure of travelling to New York City and especially for those who have never had the opportunity to go to Coney Island it will be a rather fun and interesting feature within the game that will allow them to share in the joy of those attractions like many others before them.
Even though this is a welcome feature for most of the gaming community, some feel it will most likely be a waste of time from the developers, as they may feel the time spent on this feature could have been spent working on more wall crawling activities. But these types of features show the time and care put into the game by the developers as they share their love for NYC and Spider-Man.
As players explore NYC within Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 many will enjoy the constant swinging between the buildings and fighting crime. Although, sometimes players are looking for something to take their mind off the constant bad guys who plague the streets and they would just love to take some time to chill which this activity could provide for those players.
Will This Be An Activity Players Can Do At Any Time, Or Story-Specific?
At the moment, we do not have much information regarding this activity as we are still awaiting the games release. For now we can assume that this can be an activity that players can take part in at any time regarding the story, depending on certain circumstances as certain points in the story could cause this activity to become locked.
It would be quite unfortunate if this activity was only available during the story as for those who do not know about this feature could potentially miss out and never experience this feature. For those who do utilise this feature they would more than likely want to use this feature again in the future so it would be a missed opportunity by Insomniac if they made this a one-off activity.
So far, this seems like it will be a fun activity and will most likely be some form of bonding opportunity for the spider-men and their friends sometime in the story of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and will most likely be a one time event which will be quite unfortunate. That said, if players had the opportunity to constantly ride a ferris wheel then crime would run rampant so it makes sense to limit them.
