When it comes to physical transformations, nailing accents, and memorable performances in the comedic genre, few can claim to be as versatile as Mike Myers. The Canadian star’s portrayal of the titular spy in the satirical film series Austin Powers is a case in point. The actor also gave life to one of the most loved animated characters, Shrek.
Myers who has been out of the limelight of late, made a rare public appearance at an event honoring Nicole Kidman in a completely new and almost unrecognizable look which has become a huge talking point on social media. Fans believe that the actor’s current appearance is absolutely perfect for the role of the antagonist in this iconic franchise.
Mike Myers’ Startling Physical Transformation Is Giving Fans James Bond Villain Vibes
Mike Myers has proved that he is one of the most versatile and natural actors in Hollywood. Popularly known for his brilliant turn in the Austin Powers films and for being the voice of the loveable Shrek, Myers’ brand of humor and wit has made him one of the most popular comedic artists in the industry.
The actor who was last seen in 2022’s Amsterdam, has been low-key over the past year and a half, and has rarely been spotted in public until recently when he attended Nicole Kidman’s AFI Life Achievement Award Gala (via The Independent) in Los Angeles.
In trademark Myers style, the celebrity added a dollop of entertainment to his presence when he came on stage wearing a mask. But fans were in for a bigger surprise as he took off the mask to reveal a completely new look which was nothing like what fans remembered him to be.
The 54 star sported a short grey haircut with a closely cropped beard that immediately made fans imagine him as the perfect choice to play the next James Bond villain, considering he had already done a satirical version as Dr Evil in the Austin Powers series.

Considering he’s played a Bond parody AND a Blofeld/Lorne Michaels parody, and he’s been in more dramatic fare lately, I support the left-field choice here.

A Canadian Bond villain is pretty diabolical.

He should be known as the Halloween

Especially if he plays some version of an older Austin Powers.

The James Bond franchise continues to tease viewers regarding the next actor after Daniel Craig who will take on the role of the slick secret agent. With big names like Henry Cavill and Idris Elba reportedly in the reckoning, it will be interesting to see if fans’ manifestation of Myers as a potential antagonist rings true.
Will There Be A 4th Austin Powers Film?
The Austin Powers trilogy cemented Mike Myers’ place as one of the most talented comedic actors in Hollywood. With his brand of sparkling irreverent humor, the actor’s satirical portrayal of a British secret agent hit front and center with fans and audiences across the world.
While there have been murmurs about a possible 4th film in the series, nothing has materialized for 20 years since the 3rd film hit theaters. In a recent public appearance to honor Australian star Nicole Kidman, Myers was still cleverly non-committal as he addressed this question. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, he said,
“I can neither confirm nor deny the existence or non-existence of such a project.”
Back in 2019 before the onset of the pandemic, the Canadian star had teased viewers about the possibility of the 4th film putting Dr Evil in the spotlight (via ET). But the actor once again did not stick his neck out to give any confirmation about this. Fans of Myers will now have to exercise patience to see if their wish comes true.
