Harry Potter is one of the most popular properties that garnered global attention, making die-hard fans, who are better known as Potterheads. While many would want to get into one of the four houses of Hogwarts, this responsibility lies in the Sorting Hat. However, it would be exciting to imagine the fictional superhero team, the Avengers getting assigned their houses based on their personality traits.
There’s no doubt that Marvel has created many iconic characters that have been adapted into live-action in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After the success of Iron Man movies, the franchise brought many superheroes into the universe to form a team known as Avengers. However, if the Avengers were to attend Hogwarts, which house would suit them the best? Check out the list below.
Iron Man
When it comes to our genius billionaire superhero, Tony Stark/ Iron Man, he’s best suited in Slytherin’s house. From being ambitious and witty, he has a creative mind (his Iron Man suit being one of his best creations) that helped him a lot in his superhero journey. He also possesses great leadership skills, which surely are Slytherin traits.
While he is quite self-obsessed, he (played by Robert Downey Jr. in MCU) has sacrificed his own life to save the world from the hands of Thanos in Avengers: Endgame.
Captain America
When it comes to Steve Rogers/Captain America, he possesses bravery, chivalry, loyalty, and courage and is not afraid to question his higher authority. All these qualities make him best suited for Gryffindor’s house.
Black Widow
Portrayed by Scarlett Johansson in MCU, Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow would be in the same house as Iron Man. She was undoubtedly a great spy which possessed Hogwarts’ least favorite house traits.
However, being in Slytherin is not always a bad thing since she has been loyal to her circle. She was cunning and witty, just like Downey Jr.’s character who has proven to be a great asset in Avengers. She has always used her traits for the greater good whether it be deceiving villains to extract important information or using her charms to deal with her enemy.
Doctor Strange
While Doctor Strange would also be added in Slytherin, he is most suited for Ravenclaw House. While he has always focused on gaining knowledge, his wit and wisdom traits tend more towards Ravenclaw. He has always tried to think out of the box to solve issues which further solidifies his position in the brainiest house.
Thor
Thor Odinson, the God of Thunder, is undoubtedly a Gryffindor. He innately acquires almost all the Gryffindor traits from courage, bravery, and determination to his reckless nature. He has often acted first without thinking much about the consequences, which often pushes him into trouble. However, he ultimately saves the day with his earnest actions while being a goofy Avenger at times.
Hulk
Just like Doctor Strange, Bruce Banner’s alter ego, Hulk is also a Ravenclaw. He is one of the witty Avengers, who has showcased incredible intelligence and pursuit of knowledge. From being an expert in gamma radiation and acquiring 7 PhDs, his scientist title is quite more than enough to comprehend which house suits him the most.
Hawkeye
Hufflepuff is the best-suited house for Hawkeye, who doesn’t acquire strong characteristics like the other houses. Known for his caring nature whether it be for his friends or family, he always works hard to keep up with other superheroes, which is another important trait of this house.
Spider-Man
Peter Parker/Spider-Man is best suited to be in Hufflepuff. Apart from being courageous and witty, he is quite a loyal character who is never afraid to work extra hard to keep up with his senior Avengers. His kind, polite nature is enough of a reason to belong in the yellow house.
Captain Marvel
Last but not least, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, who is brave with leadership skills and is never afraid to care for others. While she has often been reckless in her actions, she has similar traits to Captain America which makes her a Gryffindor.
