Barbie star Ryan Gosling graced The Ellen Show, where he opened up on his crush during his growing years. The actor revealed he had a crush on 60s superstar and Bedazzled fame Raquel Welch.
He shared in an interview with Company magazine,
“I was a lonely child, I didn’t do well at school, and TV was my only friend. Then, one day, I saw Raquel Welch on The Muppet Show. She was dancing with this big furry spider and I immediately fell in love. She was the first crush I ever had, and I thought, ‘How do I get to meet this woman?’ And then I thought, ‘Well, she’s on TV, so to meet her I have to get on TV myself.'”
Raquel Welch passed away at 82 in the first quarter of 2023.

Veteran actress Raquel Welch shared in the TV show The Talk, where she met Ryan Gosling, and he failed to recognize her. The actress shared that she had heard that he was her fan, hence she approached him on the red carpet at the screening of his film The Big Short.
She recalled,
“I came over to him and sort of presented myself, smiling and he didn’t recognize me.”
However, the actress was not upset with him as she accepted that she no longer looked like she did in the 1980s. Ryan Gosling had a huge crush on her younger self, hence he could not recognize her after years.
Welch added,
“That girl there was quite a bit different than the way I am now and of course, there’s a few more years. (But) we had a nice little chat and everything, and he said, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re so different than I thought you’d be’… I talked a little bit about The Notebook and how I thought that was the most romantic movie ever and I just loved the way his acting was.”
Raquel appreciated Ryan Gosling’s acting and shared that she had watched his film The Notebook several times.
