The Fantastic Four remains one of the most iconic groups in the history of Marvel Comics, as their influence in the comic book universe is nothing to scoff at. That said, the same can’t be said about their iterations on the Silver Screen, as all films have been Box Office duds. That might change with the upcoming film based on the iconic group, as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe – reportedly Pedro Pascal being in it.

Who Are Rumored To Be In The New Fantastic Four Film Besides Pedro Pascal?

Since Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox and the subsequent return of Fantastic Four’s film rights to Marvel Studios, fans have eagerly awaited a new Fantastic Four film. The upcoming Fantastic Four film will be directed by Matt Shakman. According to Deadline, Pedro Pascal is currently in talks to portray the role of Mr. Fantastic/Reed Richards in the upcoming movie.

Aside from Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby is currently being rumored to portray the role of Sue Storm, but no confirmation regarding her role has been given. Ebon Moss-Bachrach is also rumored to be Ben Grimm while Joseph Quinn is rumored for Johnny Storm’s role so far. As per Screen Rant, Vanessa Kirby addressed rumors of her being cast in the film and made it clear it would be an honor.

I don’t know, you’ll have to ask them. I would be very honored to join.

The Original Fantastic Four Draft Was Nixed For Its Poor Quality

Fans have been skeptical about the new Fantastic Four movie due to the horrible track record of the older films, most notably the 2015 Fantastic Four movie starring Michael B Jordan. It doesn’t help that there is no real detail about the plot even now.

That being said, according to Twitter user MyTimeToShine, a lot of issues cropped up for the upcoming film. It was noted that Marvel aimed for big names, but their asking price was too much. It was noted that Sue Storm was supposed to be the lead and that rubbed some of the potential actors for Reed Richards the wrong way. Finally, it was revealed that the original script for the film was so bad that it was ultimately scrapped.

The upcoming Fantastic Four is scheduled for a May 2, 2025 release and will be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 6 – meaning it will be towards the end of the Marvel saga. Regardless, it remains to be seen whether the film will become a success once it is released in 2025.
