The filmmaker has been doing the same as he works on his first DCU film, Superman: Legacy. James Gunn Debunks Facebook Deactivation Speculations

James Gunn’s personal Facebook account recently went down after several of his comments about Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan’s Batman movies resurfaced. The comments state that the 1989 film was “poorly written” and called it “one of the most boring films ever.” The resurfaced comments also said that Michael Keaton’s Batman had “a ridiculous voice.”

The resurfaced comments further said, “f*ck you, everyone involved in that travesty,” talking about Jack Nicholson’s Joker. However, it did not end with Tim Burton’s movie only. He further shares his issues with Nolan’s Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, saying, “I don’t think either one is classic, and I don’t even really think Batman Begins is good.”

As the Facebook account went down after these comments resurfaced, it was believed that the DC Studios head deactivated his account. However, the filmmaker denied such claims via Threads, as he shared that his account had been hacked, and he has not been able to recover it because he hasn’t “been on FB in so long.”
