The masked character is one of the members of The Seven, a group of superheroes managed by Vought International. In the new trailer, the character is seen standing behind Antony Starr’s Homelander in one of the scenes. For the unversed, Black Noir is a clone of Homelander in the comics created by Vought as a backup in case the latter went too out of control.

While The Boys did not reveal much of Black Noir’s character till the third season, his character was put to shine in the previous season. Not only he finally unmasked himself but he was also able to talk freely. However, towards the end, we see him meeting a brutal ending all because he betrayed Homelander. He, who obeyed Vought’s orders and betrayed Soldier Boy to the Russians, hides the fact about Solider Boy’s relationship with Homelander.

When Homelander inquired whether the former knew he was made from Soldier Boy’s DNA, it took a bloody turn. Despite knowing Homelander always needed a father, he chose to remain silent. This betrayal was something he couldn’t forgive and as a result, Homelander brutally murdered his companion.
