It is the season of Box Office clashes y’all. Who would want to give up the chance to witness a clash between two movies? Even the critics can’t resist the prospect of a clash between two behemoths. And the turn of the year has brought another such mouth watering clash for the people to behold. This time, we have in the ring Paramount’s Bob Marley: One Love and Sony’s Madame Web. And it seems like we have a very clear winner.
Madame Web failed to take-off on Box Office
When Madame Web hit the theatres, fans were hoping that it would mark a turn-around in faith for Marvel movies. But it seems like that the movie failed to have the intended impact. The Dakota Johnson starrer has simply failed to take-off.
Fans think that the movie is another in the line of works that Sony Pictures released prematurely. With an IMDb rating of 3.8, it needs no Sherlock to understand why the film is not fairing well at the big level. And another reason behind the film’s plight is Bob Marley: One Love.
Bob Marley: One Love smokes Madame Web
The movie, starring Kingsley Ben-Adir, is giving a tough competition to Madame Web, if not outright decimating it. The last 6 days have been tremendous, with Bob Marley: One Love, making money in the north of $46 million.
On the other hand, Madame Web is looking at $20 million over the same period, a paltry figure in comparison to what the Paramount Pictures movie has brought in.

Seems like the trend is set to continue.
Bob Marley: One Love looks set to continue its run
Reports have it that Madame Web will soar 40% to 50% over its Friday business, looking at possible figure of $6 million. On the other hand, Bob Marley: One Love is looking to amass over $9 million over the same period. Some difference, isn’t it?
So yeah #MadameWeb is bad. It’s bad bad. A throwback superhero flick in all the wrong ways. Some of it’s fun rubbish, most of it’s just rubbish. Poor writing, terrible acting, boring plot, wonky CGI, shoddy action, a truly shocking villain. Just crap all round. Please stop Sony pic.twitter.com/QPPEo2u8nA

I watched #MadameWeb and it was bad. I tried to give it a chance but sadly the poor execution didn’t help it. The cast was awesome but the performances were definitely disappointing… pic.twitter.com/jCRahgVZlQ

It looks like it will be the last in the line of experiments conducted by Sony Pictures.
