Boruto has been picking the pace of the manga with Boruto: Two Blue Vortex as it has been releasing interesting chapters one after another. The Two Blue Vortex’s story starts after the three-year time skip which featured a lot of changes that altered the storyline significantly. The biggest one was Boruto becoming much stronger than he was first seen.
Additionally, the one thing that hurt the fans most is the absence of Naruto from the story which although was shown before the time skip, the effect it had in the story was after the time skip. Fans miss the character as he was a major character at the beginning of the series and in a way, the series has been made possible because of him.
However, it looks like the Boruto anime and manga series is trying too hard to force fans into forgetting Naruto. This was reflected in the fact that one of the characters from the series: Mitsuki was seen using a technique in the latest chapter that had a huge impact on Naruto’s life. The technique in discussion is the Sage mode.
Mitsuki’s Sage Mode in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has been developing steadily, and Mitsuki was the subject of the most recent chapter. Fans witnessed Mitsuki in Sage Mode once more, which is arguably his most formidable move. The series hasn’t really given Mitsuki’s Sage Mode much of a showcase. Its fleeting appearances have provided some indication of its strength to the fan base.
He has a single horn that sprouts from his forehead and a cyan chakra veil, making him unique. The shroud morphs into ghostly snakes that encircle his body and increase both his striking range and his ability to bite and seize anything. His speed improves dramatically. Sage mode Mitsuki may have an advantage now that Naruto Uzumaki no longer has Kurama.
Although Mitsuki might not win the battle against Naruto in Sage mode, his showing off one of Naruto’s strongest techniques proves that the character is slowly building up and might hold great importance during the climax of the series.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is Trying To Forget Naruto
Boruto characters have gone through significant growth since the time skip. Characters like Sarada, Boruto, and Mitsuki have grown tremendously strong and have majorly replaced many of the old characters from its prequel series, Naruto. Although, some old characters still hold importance to the story like Sasuke and Naruto.
However, the recent chapters indicate that the series is trying to prove that the new characters are strong enough to replace even major characters like Naruto in the series. While it’s a sad thing, it might be necessary to put the focus on the characters for whom the storyline was initially developed by the creators.
The thing that needs to be considered, however, is the fact that Naruto still holds importance to the story and his mention in the recent chapters might prove the theory wrong. It also depends on the next chapters which might or might not focus on Naruto.
