Brie Larson Auditioned For an Iconic Role in Terminator: Genisys

Developing the franchise in 1984, James Cameron came up with the original The Terminator. Ever since then, the franchise has navigated through different narratives, explored the slasher-influenced horror genre, and further went into the more expansive time-traveling action sequences.

Brie Larson Revealed Why She Was Rejected From The Role

Brie Larson revealed how she was rejected after the audition

I did my audition. A couple days later, I found out that I didn’t get it, and I got no feedback whatsoever. I felt like I did a really good job. I didn’t understand, and then months later, my manager called and was like, ‘Listen. We got the feedback, finally,’ and what it was, was ‘they said that they didn’t think that you know how to carry a gun.’”

Smirking through the video after finding the reason quite funny, Brie Larson added how it all happened due to a casting error. The actress mentioned that she didn’t even carry a gun in the audition, which led the people in the casting room to have the notion that she couldn’t carry a gun.

Larson didn’t have any hard feelings after losing Terminator: Genisys

I mean, I’m grateful because I don’t want to hold a gun in a movie. I just thought it was funny that in their head, they thought I couldn’t hold a gun, so I didn’t get the job.”

Given the opportunity, Brie Larson could change their mind, but she seemed happy that she ultimately didn’t get the gun-toting role.
