Brie Larson’s The Marvels Co-Star Could Have a Key Role in the Multiverse Saga
Brie Larson has been a significant character since her MCU debut with the 2019 film Captain Marvel. However, fans believe that it is her co-star, Iman Vellani, known for portraying Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel in the MCU, who would have a significant role in the multiverse saga.
Introduced in the 2022 Disney+ series, Ms. Marvel gets her powers from a mysterious bangle, she inherited from her grandmother. The show’s villains, the Clandestines, try to return to their home, which is in another dimension and can only be accessed through Kamala’s bangle.
The Marvels is expected to explore more about the mysterious artifact, as the film’s villain, Dar-Benn, also has an identical bangle. With the ability to open portals to another dimension, several theories now suggest that the magical bangle could play an important role in the multiverse saga.
Scooper Daniel Richtman also stated the same in a recent tweet, suggesting that the “bangles allow you to travel the multiverse they are likely to have a big role in the Multiverse Saga.” While nothing has been confirmed as of yet, it is believed that the bangles could either potentially serve as a catalyst for an incursion in The Marvels or be a weapon against the Council of Kangs in Avengers: Secret Wars.
The Marvels is Expected to Set Up Avengers: Secret Wars
Brie Larson’s upcoming film The Marvels is expected to have a significant role in setting up the events for the Avengers: Secret Wars. While there is not much available about the movie’s plot, Kamala’s bangles seem to have an intriguing role not only in the movie but also in the multiverse saga.
It is suggested that Kamala, who found her powers in the first season of Ms. Marvel, is still learning about this artifact and could potentially trigger another incursion in The Marvels. The Doctor Strange sequel has already introduced an incursion in the MCU. There are also discussions about whether the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home really stopped the incursion or not.
However, a theory also suggests that the bangle and Shang Chi’s ten rings could also be a weapon against Kang. It is believed that both the bangle and the ten rings were created by one of the variants of Kang and could potentially be helpful in stopping the supervillain as well.
