Following the success and popularity of My Adventures with Superman S1, DCAU came up with season 2 set to premiere on May 25. Picking up where it left with the refreshing adventures of Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and Jimmy Olsen, the upcoming installment is yet again set to star Jack Quaid, Alice Lee, and Ishmel Sahid.
Therefore, ahead of the premiere of My Adventures with Superman S2, the iconic trio sat for an interview with ScreenRant to discuss what the upcoming season holds. Meanwhile, serving to fans’ curiosity, Jack Quaid, Alice Lee, and Ishmel Sahid addressed questions about dream crossovers and their future in the live-action DC universe. During the interview, Quaid was asked:
If you guys could, because there have been a lot of actors who played all three of your characters, are there any Superman, Lois, and Jimmy actors you would love to have come on the show and kind of play their own character in animation, as a crossover?
To this, Quaid responded:
That’s a really good question. Forever ago I did this pilot that never got picked up with David Corenswet, who is about to be Superman in James Gunn’s movie, so I just want to work with David again, because he’s awesome. So bring him, bring [David Corenswet] in there, that’s my easy answer.
Willing to share the spotlight with David Corenswet‘s Superman, Jack Quaid expressed his enthusiasm for a dream crossover. Meanwhile, Alice Lee and Ishmel Sahid offered their opinion, where Lee suggested a crossover with “anyone from the Smallville world” and Rachel Brosnahan from James Gunn’s upcoming DC movie.
Jack Quaid’s Desire to Appear in James Gunn’s DC Universe
As Jack Quaid and Alice Lee both demanded the upcoming stars from James Gunn’s Superman reboot to be a part of their dream crossover, the interviewer grabbed the opportunity to ask about their desire to be a part of Gunn’s live-action movies. To which both the stars shared a positive response.
Not just planning for a dream crossover in their animated My Adventures with Superman series, but also willing to be a part of James Gunn‘s DC universe, Jack Quaid and Alice Lee excitedly expressed their verdict. While Quaid claimed that it would be cool for his character to appear in live-action, Lee mentioned that it would add a refreshing take to see an Asian Lois Lane in live-action.
A resounding yes! [laughs] Yeah. I’d do it in any way, it’s so cool. [If it’s] animation or live-action, I think we’re all down, yeah. Quaid stated.
Also, I think for me, I haven’t seen an actual Asian Lois Lane, so [to play her] in live-action, that would be cool. So yes, resounding yes, like Jack said. Lee joined in.
While the crossovers and the appearance of the stars from the animated show in James Gunn’s DC Universe are yet to happen, My Adventures with Superman S2 creates hype among fans with its storyline. The upcoming season is set to bring back the three best friends to face a host of new threats while Krypton awaits them as a looming danger.
The My Adventures with Superman season 2 premieres on May 25.
