WWE Hall of Fame Ric Flair has spoken his mind about the brutal brawl that created the intense trill at WrestleMania 40 during the Cody Rhodes vs Roman Reigns match at main event WrestleMania 40.
The 16-time champion has congratulated Rhodes for his historic win at one of the greatest WrestleMania 40 matches. However, The GOAT did not like one thing as he felt that it was too much for a near-perfect storyline.
Ric Flair Reacted to Cody Rhodes’ Universal Championship Win
Finally, Cody Rhodes finished his story after his long feud with Roman Reigns and the Bloodline. The American Nightmare put an end to the domination of the heel group. As agreed, Rhodes had to face Reigns with the threat of ‘the Bloodline rules’ lurking following his defeat on night one of WrestleMania 40 alongside Seth Rollins. Following the interference of the Bloodline, legendary WWE superstars John Cena and The Undertaker came to the rescue of Rhodes alongside Rollins clearing his path for the grand victory.
WWE legend, Ric Flair, however, is not in line with the interference of the legends. He took to share his disappointment after congratulating Rhodes on X.
“Congrats @CodyRhodes & @WWERomanReigns For Providing One Of The Most Athletic And Believable Main Events That I’ve Seen In A Long Time. I Hate The Interference, But It All Played Out In Your Favor And It Made The Show More Enjoyable To Watch. I Respect You Both. Thankful To Know You! Cody, You Finally Lived Your Dad’s Dream! Love You All! WOOOOO! -Naitch,” Flair wrote on X.
The Nature Boy believed that the storyline was perfect without the involvement of the legendary wrestlers as it, for him, ruined the experience of the end of one of the great feuds.
Fans Reacted To Ric Flair’s Comment On Returns Of The Legends
While some fans hailed Flair, many were not in agreement with the GOAT who is currently signed with WWE’s rival company All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Fans claim that the returns of the legends were essential for the spectacular end of the biggest WWE event that witnessed 72,543 fans on Sunday, according to Snoop Dog’s special announcement at the event. Fans took to X to respond to Flair’s comment.
That was a well planned event, kudos to all the organizers and WOOOOOO

Under normal circumstances I would have like less outside involvement. However in this case I think giving us a “Dusty Finish” was the perfect way to celebrate this Rhodes family moment.

Ric I’m a huge fan but interference and the dirtiest player in the game is all you and the amazing. 4 horsemen

You was the king of interference

Regardless, Cody’s triumph over Reigns was glorious. He lived the dream of his father, Dusty Rhodes. It was a long and bumpy road to victory but he eventually claimed the Universal Championship to his name.
