This year, in June, Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg agreed to face each other in a cage fight. The stakes got higher when Meta launched Threads, a Twitter competitor.

For those who don’t know, the Meta boss is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner and won gold and silver in two featherweight white belt categories at a California martial arts tournament in May. Zuckerberg even said that Musk is not “serious,” about facing him.

So now, Elon Musk confronted Mark Zuckerberg and looked enough “serious” to fight him. He wants to use his walrus technique on the tech billionaire, but Joe Rogan warned him not to use it on Zuck.

Elon Musk reunited again with Joe Rogan on his podcast. During the interview (via MMA Bouts), Rogan asked Musk, “What if you guys had a real bet? The moderation team from X takes over the moderation of Facebook if you win. And if he wins, vice versa.” Zuckerberg accused him of not being serious, to which he responded:

“Listen, at the end of the day, if I’ll fight you any place, anywhere under any rules. ‘[Zuckerberg said] so name the place.’ I’m like, I’m happy to fight him in a house, on a mouse, with a louse. We could go fool Dr. Seuss here. I’m way bigger than him. This is unfair. I don’t think you should fight me.”

Then Joe Rogan tried to warn Elon Musk not to use his walrus-fighting technique on Mark Zuckerberg. Here is the conversation:

Rogan: “Because you’re so much bigger than him.”

Musk: “Yeah, I’m like 50 percent bigger than him. I’ll just use a wall. I’ve got my patented Walrus move. I just lay on him. Like a walrus doesn’t need martial arts training [laughing]. Because it’s really big, you don’t wanna go wrestling with Walrus if a horse falls on you. You can get trapped under a horse.”

Rogan: “But you’re not a horse.”

Looks like Musk’s challenge to Zuckerberg is in response to the Meta boss saying Elon Musk “isn’t serious” about a cage fight and “it’s time to move on” from their proposed showdown because they never finalized the details.

The CEO of Tesla Motors told an instance when an X user posted fight videos and asked Musk to fight Zuckerberg. On this, Musk replied, “I am willing to fight if he is.”

Then, the CEO of Facebook posted on his social media asking about the place to fight, to which Musk suggested “Vegas Octagon.” But then he went for “The Colosseum.” He asserted, “If it’s gonna be Colosseum, I like UFC and everything, but we don’t have tons of ads and UFC branding on the Colosseum because it’s a historical play.”

After getting to know this, Zuckerberg “pulled out.” He wanted to have UFC rules in the Colosseum, but Musk said, “We are gonna have UFC rules in the Colosseum, that’s fine. But you’re gonna respect the historical integrity of that place.” Because to Musk, the Colosseum seems like the best place to do it, like Gladiator.
