The latest Call of Duty title has seen a lot of turbulence since launch; from matchmaking issues to people complaining of mechanics that players are abusing, the game isn’t precisely polished. The Multiplayer and Zombies modes, however, still see a lot of traction from players and is enjoyed by people who are offered new content in the form of seasonal updates.
The upcoming Season 2 update for Call of Duty will feature the beloved Fortune’s Keep map for Warzone and have Wonder Weapons for the game mode without offering restocking. Wonder Weapons are usually available in the Zombies mode.
Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 Will See Fortune’s Keep’s Return
The trailer for the upcoming season promises that the fan-favorite Battle Royale map, Fortune’s Keep, will be returning in Warzone. Apart from the trailer, as is the case with every Season update for the game, there was also a blog post on the game’s official website, which can be found here. The blog post summarizes the fantastic list of offerings that the seasonal update will bring to the various game modes in Call of Duty.
As per the post, Fortune’s Keep, the map that was celebrated by fans when it appeared previously in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0. As mentioned, the map will be the primary one as players drop into the Resurgence game mode.
For those unfamiliar with Resurgence, it is a much faster game mode than the traditional battle royale. It focuses on respawning and fast-paced elements, making it more approachable than traditional gameplay.
Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 Wonder Weapons Feature
The blog post on the game’s official website also states that Wonder Weapons have limited ammunition and no restocking available. That means as and when a player picks up the Wonder Weapons, it won’t be long until they have to be let go of; this means that while they will serve as an advantage, one has to use them and be careful with one’s shots so as not to waste bullets.
While players may wonder if Wonder Weapons belong in Warzone, which is debatable, it makes sense as new gameplay features that combine traditional Zombies and Battle Royale gameplay are said to be coming. These are the Zombies Nests and Eradication Contract. In addition, another gameplay addition, the Zombies power-ups, will be available to the operator in addition to the other perks chosen by the operator.
Since the collaboration is one with The Walking Dead and the series’ upcoming spinoff, the zombie element is being sprinkled across different game modes initially seen as separate from the Zombies mode. All of this is bound to ensure that the game stays fresh for veterans and the players who are jumping in after a long time feel that there are some changes made and new content has been delivered since the last time they played.
