“We wanted to let you know that Shoot House and Alcatraz will soon be leaving Call of Duty: Mobile. This is not permanent, both will be returning later this year, rotating in and out each season like other playlists in the game.”

Later, they posted another follow-up post, assuring players that they were still working on fresh content for the game. The new content will probably arrive in future seasons. Although they did not reveal much information about what can be expected, they urged fans to “stay tuned.

Why fans are worried about Call of Duty: Mobile

Fans have always felt that Call of Duty: Mobile has been missing something. To top it off, the launch of Warzone Mobile has further worried the fans about the future of the game. CoD: Mobile features more traditional multiplayer options.

These could possibly be shuttered when Warzone Mobile comes to iOS and Android devices. The upcoming mobile game will enable players to participate in mobile versions of iconic maps of the battle royale game such as Verdansk and Rebirth Island.

Interestingly, Rebirth Island is actually a reimagining of the Alcatraz map. Additionally, it must also be noted that Shoot House will also be seen in Warzone Mobile. Since both these maps are coming to the new mobile game, the fans were naturally worried about the old game, and the rumor mill began.

Although Warzone Mobile is expected to have a lot of similarities to Call of Duty: Mobile, the developers have confirmed that the old title is not going anywhere. Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is set to launch on iOS and Android devices globally on March 21, 2024.
