Developers are well aware that Call of Duty players are a fickle bunch, and trying to appease all of them is a near impossible task. There had reportedly been a drop in player numbers due to complaints about spawn points and subsequent traps, which in turn led to the latest patch from devs. This was introduced fairly recently, and it was thought that it might smooth things over for a period of time.
As with most things relating to CoD and Warzone, patches don’t appear to keep players happy for long, and sure enough, there were already gripes about the latest round of updates. However, this time it was in relation to killstreaks and, more specifically, cluster mines.
Why Are Players Annoyed at the Latest Call of Duty Update?
It was highlighted on the social media site X that one of the latest patch updates was completely pointless and that players should be looking at their loadouts and addressing this issue as soon as possible. This is certainly not the first time that we’ve seen a completely pointless update added to the game, and no doubt it won’t be the last.

It was noted that with the recent patch update, the developers had addressed the issues that had seen a decline in player numbers. There were various bug fixes and changes to maps and modes, but perhaps the major point was the spawn point trap, which was addressed by devs.
However, judging by the post on social media, many players should look at removing cluster mines from their loadouts. The fact that it would take two cluster mines to down a fully-plated player seems ridiculous, and no doubt this will only serve to anger players further.
Call of Duty Patch Notes Split the Fans
Looking at the comments from fans on social media following the post by WZStatsGG, many fans saw this as a massive win for the game, but others were less than impressed. One player went so far as to say that they are sick of the constant changes to the game, which do little to improve its quality.
Some players see the benefit of the killstreak not being so overpowered as to take out someone who is fully plated. At the end of the day, it’s clear that players want the experience to be as close to realism as possible, so having a killstreak that wipes out someone with full armor seems ludicrous.
We know that Call of Duty is a game that is not without issues. Despite a drop in player numbers, it is still regarded as one of the most popular online gaming franchises. With the various patch notes that come, the devs hope that they will appease all the needs of fans, but unfortunately, they cannot please everyone all the time.
