Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Season Reloaded gets a lot of things wrong that fans don’t like. But that doesn’t mean they can’t have fun. The announcement for the latest season includes a Playlist Modifier that will take them back on a nostalgic ride. It looks like Minecraft has taken over the game.

Playlist Modifiers were introduced earlier this season to add some twists (literally) to the gameplay. A few available modifiers allow players to drop a killstreak percentage to be picked up by teammates, while another offers unlimited killstreaks to wreak havoc on the map.

That Call of Duty Playlist Turned Favela Into Bitvela

Favela is among the most popular maps in Call of Duty.

Dubbed Bit Party, this playlist sheds its charm on fans just by looking at the cute pixelated versions of the beloved Call of Duty heroes. One of the images shared on the game’s page on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) highlights Soap, Ghost, Price, and Farah in a Minecraft-like revamp of the popular map Favela.

The post explains the mechanisms that’ll go in there when players begin battling in the Bit Party playlist.

They’ll be getting bigger heads with every kill they make during the match, and as soon as they are killed in action, they’ll spawn with a smaller head. “The bigger the head, the better the bonuses,” the post went on to explain.

A Retro Warfare event too is coming alongside Bit Party as was mentioned in the official Call of Duty blog, which will add boost to players’ XP having an 8-Bit Blitz Bundle in the game. While Favela has turned into Bitvela, no details on other maps have been put forth, but there will be more.

That Won’t Exactly be a Breath of Fresh Air For The Fans

Too many collaborations have annoyed fans lately.
Too many collaborations have annoyed fans lately.

Activision has been trying to load the game with a ton of content. They aren’t exactly running out of ideas but their focus on being fancy is making it something like stagnant water. Some fans have even started comparing Call of Duty with another popular battle royale title Fortnite. If persistence like that remains, the pond may soon go bone dry.

Though this is no secret level in the game adding elements that resonate with other games has pulled praise from fans. With that said fans should be experiencing something different with Bit Party, if not a breath of fresh air, in the game.

Other than that, the upcoming season won’t really be a treat for the fans. The trailer for Season 4 Reloaded showcased highlights where the beloved character, on one hand, was jumping really high that wouldn’t ever go along with the game’s standard, and then he was given some Reptile-like abilities from Mortal Kombat to go invisible.
