Call of Duty is one of the most popular gaming franchises of all time, generating countless games and spinoff titles that tackle realistic stories to campaigns that are inspired by science fiction, as well as a dedicated live service multiplayer game called Warzone. The potential and convenience mobile gaming can bring can be a game changer.
Activision thought it would be fitting to not limit Warzone to consoles and PCs and to develop a mobile port but ended up disappointing.
Call Of Duty: Warzone Mobile Is A Technical Mess
Mobile gaming has been around since the rise of touchscreen devices that have enough power to generate and run video games. As time went on, mobile technology has advanced as well to a point that can allow users to launch triple-A games like Death Stranding natively and exclusively on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Developers are taking advantage of the horsepower of modern Android and iOS smartphones but require better optimization for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.
The performance of the original Warzone from the PC and console versions was never going to be achieved on a mobile handheld, and shouldn’t be expected in the first place. Decent frame rates would do just fine, however, it seems like the game is still struggling for a stable performance.

Reviews and ratings can seriously harm people’s perceptions about a product, perhaps their devices are not equipped with the right specs to run the game smoothly. Regardless, Activision should always bear in mind that a huge chunk of Android users are not equipped with the latest and most powerful dedicated gaming smartphones.
Constant updates are necessary for the upkeep of live service games, the original version of Call of Duty: Warzone on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC has had an abundance of them since launch, and yet the game is far from being fixed. Each patch breaks more than it fixes in terms of weapon efficiency like buffing and nerfing, and their players can’t do anything but complain.
Activision Needs To Sort Out Call Of Duty: Warzone Mobile Before It Is Too Late
The gap between the traditional form of gaming with external controllers and onscreen controls for mobile gaming is enormous. Developers somehow managed to find a way to use the Bluetooth features from external accessories like controllers, keyboards, and gaming mouse for players to take advantage of. The aim assist in the mobile version is quite concerning and could pose a serious problem by giving players pinpoint accuracy against their opponents.
It is very saddening to see how a game like Call of Duty has been reduced to a poorly optimized version on handheld devices like smartphones. The general market is oversaturated with mid-range Android devices and Activision should have taken into consideration how they could utilize the limited horsepower of some phones.
