The reports of the players experiencing poor performance on their devices were quickly received by Activision, and it soon deployed an update aimed at fixing these issues. While players say that they are still facing some problems, iPhone users have now claimed that the game may be doing damage to their phone’s battery, resulting in quick draining and bad battery health.

According to the Call of Duty news X/Twitter handle that reports regular updates about the game and also takes submissions, multiple players on iPhone devices have reported that Warzone Mobile is draining their phone’s battery health “massively.”

They said that one user claimed that their phone’s battery health declined to 92% from 97% in “under a week” of playing the game. The user also shared two images that showed the battery’s maximum capacity at 97% and 92% to support their claim.

Such a decline is not a small issue, as going down by 5% in just a week shows that the game may be doing some heavy damage. Although the legitimacy of these claims cannot be verified, several other users have also claimed that they too have seen a decline.

Several iPhone Users Have Claimed to Be Facing the Problem

One user seemingly corroborated the claims, saying that “it’s true” and their phone battery has gone down from 98% to 94% within a week and said that they are afraid their phone battery might “die” before optimization of the game.

Another user said that the game has been “massively unoptimized” for 90% of Android devices, probably saying that it could be an issue for iPhone users. One player said that when they downloaded the game, their phone’s battery health was at 100%, but now it is at 98%, and they did not see it drop to 99%.

However, some players said that the users may be playing too much and charging the phone several times. Several players said that they haven’t faced an issue like that, but it is possible. A user said that if the game is heating iPhone devices like it does to their S23 Ultra, they “wouldn’t be surprised.” They added that the game heats up so much that it is not suitable to be held.

Players on Reddit have also reported overheating due to the game, with a Redditor saying that the game drains the battery in “3 hours” and it gets so hot upon playing that they “could fry a steak on the back of it.” What are your thoughts about these claims? Are you playing Warzone Mobile? Let us know in the comments.
