Call of Duty Warzone recently received its Season 6 updates on October 23 and 24. Various changes and a horde of weapon-balancing changes have occurred in the game. Just like most Battle Royale and competitive titles, Call of Duty Warzone‘s meta also undergoes various changes with time.
This keeps the game balanced and fun for veteran players and novices. That is because if no weapon rebalancing is done, the game is bound to become stale. However, in the first update released on October 23, the M4 has received a buff. This gives a significant advantage to players who already use the weapon often.
Call of Duty Warzone Update, Released on October 23, Features Some Weapon Nerfs and Buffs for Both Warzone and Modern Warfare II
With most updates, there are a series of changes that feature weapon stats going up or down for some weapons in the game. As mentioned earlier, this is done to keep the gameplay experience fresh for players. This also ensures that the required skill level is maintained.
The recent update, which went live on October 23 for Call of Duty Warzone, is one such update that has seemingly changed and rebalanced the game’s meta. The update can be divided into two, containing weapon changes for Call of Duty Warzone and Call of Duty Modern Warfare II.

Best M4 Loadout Attachments, Perk Packages, and Equipments in Call of Duty Warzone
Now that the M4 has received a buff, selecting the most optimized loadout for the Assault Rifle is only natural. This will help you get more kills and increase your chances to emerge victorious in Call of Duty Warzone.
Here is our recommendation for the best M4 Loadout in the game:
- Muzzle: Cronen OP44 or Harbinger D20
- Barrel: Hightower 20″ Barrel
- Optic: Aim OP-V4
- Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
- Magazine: 60 Round Mag
We went for this loadout because the weapon had already received a buff in close-mid range. We increase the weapons efficacity in long-range firefights for an even more all-rounded experience. The loadout helps increase the bullet velocity, recoil control, and precision.
Along with the right loadout and weapon customization, you also need the best perks to truly dominate the masses in the game. Here is our recommendation:
- Base Perk 1: Overkill
- Base Perk 2: Double Time
- Bonus Perk: Fast Hands
- Ultimate Perk: Ghost
- Lethal: Semtex
- Tactical: Smoke Grenade
The overkill perk is preferred in this case, as this will let you add a close-range SMG to your loadout. One can go for the Lachmann Sub or the ISO 45. Equipping Double Time is helpful to increase mobility as the game, like most battle royale games, rewards fast-paced, slick movement.
Fast Hands is helpful as it helps you switch between your M4 and Close Range SMG much quicker. Reload Speeds are better when the perk is equipped. To top it off, the Ghost Ultimate perk will help you not to get torn to shreds by enemy UAVs.
