Co-written by Hill and Ezra Woods, Outcome follows the story of Reef, a troubled Hollywood star who is forced to confront his past demons upon being blackmailed with a mysterious video clip. Reeves is reportedly cast as Reef in the upcoming film, while Diaz’s role in the film has not been disclosed yet.

Jonah Hill’s Outcome marks Cameron Diaz’s return to the big screen following her prolonged hiatus from acting. After her 2014 film Annie, the 51-year-old actress announced her retirement in 2018. However, Diaz came out of her retirement for the upcoming Netflix film Back in Action.

The film is set to be produced by Matt Dines, Ali Goodwin, and Hill under their Strong Baby banner. Hill will take on both acting and producing duties for this project alongside Dines and Goodwin under the Strong Baby banner.

Netflix Shared Cameron Diaz And Jamie Foxx’s First Look in Back in Action

Netflix shared the first look at Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz’s upcoming film Back in Action in a teaser for its upcoming 2024 releases. As per Entertainment Weekly, the movie centers around Matt and Emily, a pair of former CIA agents who opt for a quiet family life until they’re forced back into the world of espionage when their identities are exposed.

The brief clip from the film showcases Diaz’s Emily executing daring maneuvers, including jumping between moving speedboats and engaging in hand-to-hand combat. Foxx is also shown taking down adversaries, utilizing a gasoline pump as a weapon, while Diaz’s character delivers a decisive blow by slamming someone’s head into a car.

The duo has earlier shared the screen in the 1999 sports drama Any Given Sunday and the 2014 comedy-drama Annie. “Jamie is the best,” Diaz said of her co-star before adding, “I love that guy so much.” She also revealed that Foxx played a significant role in her decision to return to acting following her retirement.

Back in Action is expected to be released in 2024 on Netflix.
