However, as every journey must come to an end, Macchio’s widely famous Cobra Kai is coming to an end, too, with its sixth and final season. Much to the disappointment of fans, it was announced back in January 2023 that Netflix’s Cobra Kai will be coming to an end with its sixth season (via Deadline). Bringing back Ralph Macchio‘s Daniel LaRusso and William Zabka’s Johnny Lawrence for what many believe will not be their final appearance in the Miyagi-verse, the final season is supposed to be the biggest and baddest of them all.

Starting right after the events of last season, which showed Cobra Kai eliminated from the valley, the season is bringing back many of its old stars from the three Karate Kid movies and the Netflix show’s usual cast. Starring Martin Kove, Xolo Maridueña, Jacob Bertrand, Mary Mouser, and many more, the expectations from the final season are high.

After years of fans desperately waiting for the epic showdown it is supposed to be, Cobra Kai just announced its trailer release date and more. Taking the Bridgerton route by releasing the final season in parts, the series will be released in not two but three parts.

With the trailer dropping on Monday, the first of July, the release date for the first part of Cobra Kai has been announced as July 18. As the news of the great grand finale soon went viral, several fans exclaimed excitement while others were disappointed over the series’ end.

Ralph Macchio’s Cobra Kai initially started as a 10-episode YouTube original, but it is now one of the biggest shows of the streaming giant, Netflix. Now, in its final run, it can be anticipated that for many of the characters featured in the show, the series final season does not mean their run in the Miyagi-verse will come to an end.

After creators Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald teased their plans of expanding on the Miyagi-verse (via Collider) and the sixth season being instrumental in doing so (via X), the upcoming season is supposed to be a banger. Yet, fans are not happy with the show’s end, especially when it has so much ‘juice left’.

As the news of Cobra Kai’s sixth season release went viral, this is how fans reacted:

With five episodes releasing on July 18, the subsequent part two releasing on November 28, and the last and final part releasing next year on a yet-to-be-revealed date, it is but obvious that fans are a little disappointed for the show to drag on so long. Yet they are happy to see that their ‘favorite’ show of all time will be back soon.

Cobra Kai Season 6 hits Netflix on July 18.
