The 2024 TV season is set to bring in riveting new shows and features, one of them being Chrissy Teigen’s Chrissy & Dave Dine Out to be premiered on January 24th. An exclusive trailer dropped on Wednesday presenting glimpses of what the show will primarily be about: fancy dinners and gossip.
With the trailer drop, much buzz has encircled the upcoming show where in the second-most scene, model and TV personality, Chrissy Teigen reveals a bold revelation about singer and husband John Legend. For a show that spins around celebrities dishing out hot gossip, unheard tales, and personal details, Teigen’s joke on their marriage may have stung a bit.
Chrissy Teigen dropped a bomb secret about her marriage
Married to the ‘All of Me’ singer for a decade now, Chrissy Teigen had no qualms upon revealing that John Legend was perceived as “gay.” The trailer featured restaurateur and host David Chang, alongside Teigen and comedian Joel Kim Booster. Fans were not prepared for the joke that may have offended, if not the talented singer, but viewers a little.
In the second scene of the teaser, after asking Hollywood star Alexandra Daddario about her most embarrassing story, Teigen introduces herself followed by her shocking revelation that she helped Legend conceal rumors of being gay. She said in the show’s trailer,
“I was supposed to be John’s big cover-up for a while, people thought he was gay.”
The premiere will unfold around Teigen, Chang, and Booster dining with guests comedian Jimmy Kimmel and producer, and wife, Molly McNearney. Therefore, upon hearing the joke, Kimmel reacted with,
“Oh, he’s not?”
The table burst into laughter. Even though John Legend wasn’t at the table, fans doubt if Teigen’s quip was worth it. Implying that Legend felt the need to clarify he was straight with Teigen’s presence, doesn’t seem all funny. But as the show’s trailer teases, “No topic is off the table,” that seemed to be the motto. Candid moments of laughter, intriguing stories, and luxurious dine-ins around Los Angeles painted the motive of the show: pure entertainment.
