Married to the ‘All of Me’ singer for a decade now, Chrissy Teigen had no qualms upon revealing that John Legend was perceived as “gay.” The trailer featured restaurateur and host David Chang, alongside Teigen and comedian Joel Kim Booster. Fans were not prepared for the joke that may have offended, if not the talented singer, but viewers a little.

In the second scene of the teaser, after asking Hollywood star Alexandra Daddario about her most embarrassing story, Teigen introduces herself followed by her shocking revelation that she helped Legend conceal rumors of being gay. She said in the show’s trailer

“I was supposed to be John’s big cover-up for a while, people thought he was gay.” 

The premiere will unfold around Teigen, Chang, and Booster dining with guests comedian Jimmy Kimmel and producer, and wife, Molly McNearney. Therefore, upon hearing the joke, Kimmel reacted with,

The table burst into laughter. Even though John Legend wasn’t at the table, fans doubt if Teigen’s quip was worth it. Implying that Legend felt the need to clarify he was straight with Teigen’s presence, doesn’t seem all funny. But as the show’s trailer teases, “No topic is off the table,” that seemed to be the motto. After Teigen’s success starring in 30 episodes of Chrissy’s Court until 2022, the established model will return to the TV screens with Freeform’s Chrissy & Dave Dine Out with Momofuku restaurant owner David Chang. Teigen is also attached to the show as an executive producer and will select guest celebrities to dine out with her, over candid conversations.

The first episode, as revealed in a press release, will take place at Chris Bianco’s Pizzeria Bianco. Other celebrities featured in the trailer were John Legend, Alexandra Daddario, Simu Liu, Kumail Nanjiani, and Regina Hall.
