His talent truly knows no bounds, as he has been able to gain recognition outside the cage, starring in Jake Gynllenhall’s upcoming movie, Road House. It is safe to say that his workout routine and the practices that he partakes in are not for the layman. Here is exactly what McGregor does to stay in peak physical health.

Conor McGregor’s Crazy Workout Routine

Conor McGregor is truly one of the most skilled fighters to have ever been a part of the UFC, having been the first person to have ever win two championships simultaneously in two weight classes; Lightweight and Featherweight. His workout routine would have to be very rigorous and challenging to be able to be as iconic and skilled as he is. However, many would not expect exactly how far the star is willing to go.

EternoBody reported that McGregor’s workout routine is divided strategically into three days a week. On Monday, he focuses on his shoulders, back, and triceps. Here, he does everything from weighted chin-ups, standing presses, cable rows, skull crushers, and lateral raises.

He then works on his legs, arms, and traps on Wednesdays, doing hang cleans sumo deadlifts, Bulgarian split squats, calf raises, hanging leg raises, and hex-bar shrugs. Finally, on Friday, he focuses on his chest and biceps, where he does incline barbell bench presses, flat barbell bench presses, barbell curls, cable rope curls, and bent-over flyes.

Conor McGregor’s Surprisingly Low Body Fat Percentage

It is safe to say that this workout routine is extremely challenging and not for the faint of heart. However, Conor McGregor’s diet routine is even more shocking with it being carefully crafted for his specific needs. His diet plan adheres to his challenging workout schedule, as well as his needs as a UFC fighter. All these have helped him maintain a body fat percentage that is astoundingly low.

It would seem that during peak training periods and fights, his body fat percentage comes to around 8% to 10%. This is extremely impressive and exactly what someone like him would need. It helps with his power-to-weight ratio, with him getting an advantage in his speed and having to worry less about carrying unnecessary weight.
